The background of this research was the condition education in 21st century after COVID-19 pandemic, which impacted learning loss. In response, government attempting to evaluate and restore learning. One example implementation Independent Curriculum, currently being implemented several schools had potential be nationally 2024. This study aimed discover how teachers, particularly Indonesian language teachers at SMP/MTs, perceived Curriculum. used descriptive approach. Data collection included observation, interviews, questionnaires with 15 SMP/MTs Yogyakarta as respondents. results showed that teachers' perceptions Curriculum were "medium" category, a total percentage 66.7%. category fairly good perception regarding projection, implementation, self-readiness implement Merdeka curriculum school
